Wangchun Ye, Chairman of the Board

Wangchun Ye is the chairman of OneConnect. Mr. Ye has over 40 years of experience in finance and banking. After beginning his career as a loan officer at a local branch of the People's Bank of China, Mr. Ye worked his way through the ranks at the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and Huaxia Bank, working in various departments, including credit management, fund settlement, planning, human resources. In 2007, Mr. Ye joined Ping An Bank as a vice president. In 2015, he joined OneConnect Shanghai as chairman of the board of directors and was named chief executive officer in 2016. In 2017, he became chief executive officer of OneConnect. Mr. Ye brings deep understanding of the intricacy of the Chinese financial system, as well as the needs and challenges facing the Chinese financial ecosystem. He received his doctorate degree in management science and engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2001.

Chongfeng Shen, Director and CEO

Mr. Shen worked at Kingdee Software (China) Co., Ltd, or Kingdee China. from 1998 to October 2021 where he successively served as a department manager of Shenzhen Branch, the general manager of Dongguan Branch, the general manager of Shenzhen Branch, the general manager of South China, and a senior vice president, the president and the rotating president of Kingdee China. Mr. Shen has rich experience in business management. Before joining Kingdee, Mr. Shen was a lecturer at Changchun University of Science and Technology. Mr. Shen received his bachelor degree of engineering from Changchun College of Geology (now Jilin University) in 1992 and his master degree of engineering from Changchun University of Science and Technology (now Jilin University) in 1996.

Rong Chen , Director and Co-General Manager

Rong Chen serves as our co-general manager. A veteran of banking industry, Ms. Chen started out with Shenzhen Development Bank (SDB), the predecessor of Ping An Bank, in 1993. Her footprints are both wide and deep, having held senior positions in multiple branch operations and functions including credit risk management and internal control. Previously, she headed SDB's Nantou branch as well as its Shenzhen branch. At Ping An Bank, Ms. Chen was named assistant to the president, before being promoted to vice president and then CFO. She received her master's degree in business economics from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law in 1993.

Sin Yin Tan, Director

Sin Yin Tan has served on the board since October 2017. Ms. Tan currently is a co-chief executive officer of Ping An Group, overseeing its technology businesses and digital innovation. She is also a standing member of Ping An Group's executive management committee and investment management committee across insurance, banking, investment and technology business. Ms. Tan serves various directorships at Ping An subsidiaries, such as Ping An Bank (also a listed company), Ping An Life Insurance and Ping An P&C Insurance. Before joining Ping An Group, she was a partner at McKinsey & Company. She graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with three degrees, a master in electrical engineering and computer science, a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and another in economics.

Wenwei Dou , Director

Wenwei Dou has served on our board of directors since October 2017. Mr. Dou is also a director in various entities within the Ping An HealthKonnect Group and Lufax Group. He joined Ping An Group in April 1997, and has held various legal and compliance positions. Mr. Dou received his bachelor's degree and master's degree in law from Jilin University in 1989 and 1994, respectively.

Min Zhu , Director

Min Zhu has been our director since January 2018. Mr. Zhu has more than ten years of experience in financial services and investment. He is chief executive officer and director of BYFIN, chief executive officer and director of BYFX Global and a director of BYFX HK. Mr. Zhu was the chief executive officer of BYFX HK from December 2015 to August 2018. Prior to that, he had held directorships and senior management positions at SBI Holdings, Suzhou Yian Biotech, SBI (China), SBI Investment and SBI Asset Management. Mr. Zhu received his bachelor's degree in international trading (Japanese) from Shanghai International Studies University in July 2001, and his master's degree in business administration from Hosei University in March 2004.

Wenjun Wang, Director

Ms. Wenjun Wang joined Ping An Group in 1996. Ms. Wang currently serves as a general manager of Ping An Bank since March 2011. Prior to that, Ms. Wang successively served as the deputy director of the group affairs office, deputy general manager of the human resources center and the general manager of the employees services management department from June 1996 to March 2011, and an employee representative supervisor from May 2006 to March 2011. Ms. Wang also served as the general manager of security department of Ping An Bank from April 2013 to November 2016. Ms. Wang received her bachelor’s degree in English from Shanghai International Studies University in July 1989 and her master’s degree in public administration from Xi’an Jiaotong University in June 2006. Ms. Wang is a qualified intermediate economist, accredited by the Shenzhen Position Management Office of the PRC in November 1997.

Yaolin Zhang , Independent Director

Yaolin Zhang joined the board as independent director in February 2019. He also sits on the boards of Dongguan Trust and Bank of Luoyang, both in the capacity of independent director. Dr. Zhang has more than 30 years of experience in finance and banking. Previously, he was the main architect behind the establishment of the Shenzhen branch of Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, or SPDB, and served as president of the branch from 2010 to 2015. He was a vice president of Ping An Bank from 2008 to 2010. From 1998 to 2008, Dr. Zhang held various positions at SPDB, including vice president and president of Guangzhou branch and vice president of SPDB. From 1987 to 1998, he also served in various management positions at China Construction Bank. Dr. Zhang received his bachelor's degree in physics from Fudan University in 1982, his master's degree in world economy from Wuhan University in 1987, and his doctorate degree in international finance law from Wuhan University in 1996.

Tianruo Pu , Independent Director

Mr. Tianruo Pu has served as our independent director since September 2019. Mr. Pu also serves as an independent director at Autohome Inc. (NYSE: ATHM/HKEX: 2518) and 3SBio Inc. (HKEX: 1530). Mr. Pu served as the chief financial officer of Zhaopin Ltd from 2016 to 2018, UTStarcom from 2012 to 2014 and Nuokang Biopharma from 2008 to 2012. Mr. Pu received his bachelor’s degree in English and International Studies from China Foreign Affairs University in 1991, his master of science degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois in 1996 and his MBA degree from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in 2000.

Wing Kin Anthony Chow, Independent Director

Wing Kin Anthony Chow joined the board as independent director in October 2020. Mr. Chow has been serving as a non-executive director of Kingmaker Footwear Holdings Limited, a company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, since June 1994, a director of WeBank Co., Ltd. since December 2014, an independent non-executive director of MTR Corporation Limited, a company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, since May 2016, an independent director of S.F. Holding Co., Ltd, a company listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, since December 2016, and an independent non-executive director of Ping An Healthcare and Technology Company Limited, a company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, since May 2018. Mr. Chow is a solicitor admitted to practice in Hong Kong and England and Wales. He has been a practicing solicitor in Hong Kong for 40 years and is the Senior Consultant and Global Chairman of Messrs. Guantao & Chow Solicitors and Notaries. Mr. Chow is a China Appointed Attesting Officer and an arbitrator of the South China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission/ Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration. He is also a member of The National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference. Mr. Chow was the president of The Law Society of Hong Kong from 1997 to 2000 and chairman of the Process Review Panel for the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong from 2006 to 2012. Mr. Chow was awarded the Justice of the Peace in 1998 and the Silver Bauhinia Star medal in 2003 by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. He was also awarded the Honorary Fellowship of the Hong Kong Institute of Education in 2010, the Honorary Fellowship of King’s College London in July 2013, the Roll of Honor by the Law Society of Hong Kong in 2015, and Doctor of Social Science, honoris causa of the Open University of Hong Kong in 2018.

Ernest Ip, Independent Director

Mr. Ip has over 35 years of experience in accounting and auditing. Mr. Ernest Ip is currently the chief financial officer of the Fung Group and an independent director of Media Chinese International Limited (SEHK:00685) and Ping An OneConnect Bank (Hong Kong) Limited. Prior to joining Fung Group, he was a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers Hong Kong from 1993 until his retirement in 2019. Mr. Ip holds various key positions in regulatory authorities and business associations. Currently, Mr. Ernest Ip is a member of the Takeovers and Mergers Panel of the Securities and Futures Commission (“SFC”) and the Takeovers Appeal Committee of SFC, and is a Vice President of the Hong Kong Business Accountants Association. He is also a vice president of the Council for the Promotion of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Cooperation and a senior advisor of Accounting Professional Committee for HK Region of Council for the Promotion of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Cooperation. He was a member of the Listing Committee of the Stock Exchange from 2003 to 2009 and a member of the Dual Filing Advisory Group of the Securities and Futures Commission of Hong Kong from 2008 to 2014. Mr. Ip graduated with Professional Diploma in Accountancy from the Accounting Faculty of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (formerly known as Hong Kong Polytechnic). Mr. Ip is a fellow member of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and Certified Practicing Accountant Australia.
